BIOGRAPHY
Raymond
C Maro
Raymond is the General Secretary
of East African Community Youth Ambassadors Platform EAC YAP and International
Publicity chair at Youth Alliance for Leadership and Development in
Africa-YALDA.
He has served as the 1st EAC Youth Ambassador to
Tanzania and
championed the EAC integration by bringing the community closer to
young people. As a leader, Raymond has organized youth programmes with both
local and International media including Voice of America VOA -Washington DC, United
Nations Media in New York and East African Radio in Tanzania. 
Raymond is a Tanzanian citizen
by birth and received his both primary and secondary education in Tanzania
before he was selected to join United States International University and
awarded a degree in International Relations with a concentration on Diplomacy
and Foreign policy in 2013. In his academic life, he went through practical
diplomatic course of training at Harvard University- USA in 2011 and at EAC-Nyerere
Center for Peace and Research on Good Governance and Peace building in 2013.
Raymond is also a junior
consultant and trainer on EAC Youth Sensitization Programs to youth leaders at
regional level. He headed the 1st EAC Youth Ambassadors Platform
delegation at the 2nd African Union Youth Consultation Dialogue in
Dakar Senegal in 2013 that was dedicated on constitutionalism and Rule of Law
in Africa towards achieving the 2063 Agenda.
Raymond is passionate about
development and youth empowerment towards building a transformative generation of
Africa in the 21st century
